Actually I can say that is not quite true. While yes some use it for this reason, others are using it for security reasons. With the problem of hackers today it is a nice way to keep your IP and other info safe.

Dammit! Can't anybody post a proxy bypasser that _isn't_ blocked!? I know www.xanproxy.be works, except for the fact that its server appears to be down at the moment. Proxify sucks like a black hole because it doesn't let you do anything useful. Can't anybody be of some help!?

They prob. just implemented an all-encompassing regular expression filter that searches for "nph-proxy.pl" or the string of parameters preceding that...

If they actually have a list of proxies they block, they have way too much time on their hands down in the Computer Services office, and it's probably not up to date, so try a google search for proxies and you may find some that work.

russ, you can set it up on the extras>internet options>connections tab> and then click Options on your connections and then click on the proxy checkbox to enable it. But you need an IP address and port # to enter. So look for them on the web (steganos proxy list is good). There are lots of them you can find.

Aw, poor Alex. He can't talk to his friends which tells me that he has no REAL friends. If MySpace is your only means of talking to friends then you need to get a life.
